With a huge celebration of comics and children's imagination puts "Antboy 'at the better end of the recent Danish children's films. The film adaptation of Kenneth Beech Andersen enjoyable books about the anonymous schoolboy who suddenly gets super powers, is clearly inspired by the many American coeur comic book movies. Our young protagonist Pelle undergoes complete the same character development as Peter Parker does in 'Spider-Man'. And just like in the movies like 'Kick-Ass' and 'Scott Pilgrim against the world' is the general recordings often replaced by animated alternatives that something completes the composition of the Danish suburban setting and the fantastic comic book universe. It is obvious that the movie could have used a bigger budget and a longer playing time, but tell the joy of this difficult genre bodes well for the debut director Ask Hasselbalch. Action for children film is also told in a child and it's not as wild and violent as the American superhero film. It is more limited and humorous forces Pelle inherits the top of the mysterious coeur myrebid. The little boy suddenly gets infinitely powerful forces as another Gummi Tarzan, leading to many comical moments, such as when he next day is going to smash the glass of juice at the breakfast table. The fun is it to follow his somewhat dubious new abilities, among other things, gives him an uncontrollable craving for sugar and the ability to urinate pure acid. Both the villain and the action sequences are also balanced so that the little ones do not have to close your eyes. In 'Antboy' focus is on family, friends, school, bullying and first love, which is indeed recognizable Danish core elements of all the good old children's films from the 1980s. Nicolas Bro as supervillain The young Oscar Dietz seem to enjoy themselves as Antboy, and it rubs off on the audience. Along with his nerdy friend Wilhelm brings the film several laughs, which in turn affects both children and adults. Meanwhile, Nicolas Bro brilliant as the super villain Flea, who like a true blood flea has weaknesses, but also can jump very high, which of course used in the film's prettier technical factors. In their clumsy coeur but beautiful costumes achieves both to give the film great charm and personality. 'Antboy' is a lot more original than the Danish alternatives 'Olsen Gang', 'Father of Four' and 'My Sister's Kids'. And along with 'MGP mission' represents the now the best Danish children's films.
