Murder accused father experienced hallucinations during the incident: Psychiatrist | SK loop
Consultant Psychiatrist (Forensic) Hospital Permai, Johor Bahru, Dr. Badi "ah Yahya, said the accused, Shahrul Azmi Che Mat, 20, had heard the voices of the unseen which have plagued schizophrenia pre-treated with anti-epileptic drugs.
"Nominee (the accused) also do not pretend to have mental problems when epilepsy was attacked while he was in hospital," he said when giving evidence at the hearing in front of Superior Court Judge Datuk Mohd Yazid Mustafa.
During the incident, schizophrenia the accused reportedly stabbed his brother, Irwan Affendi, 31, using a knife Rambo while sleeping makes the victim screaming for help from his father. Che Mat who woke reliable tried to grab the knife from the accused, schizophrenia but unfortunately stabbed by the suspect in the stomach and died at the scene.
Mohd Yazid set February 6 next to the argument schizophrenia of the case and the decision after the prosecution, represented by deputy public schizophrenia prosecutor Mohamad Ahmad Nawawi Jazamuddin successfully proved a prima facie case.
